Do you have a collection of anything? Maybe it's a collection you're proud of, maybe it's a collection you're embarrassed by, maybe it consists of objects you've sought out everywhere you go, maybe it consists of gifts from people who decided you like a certain thing you actually don't like. In any case, if any of it is small enough to carry over to Chelsea, we would like to give it one afternoon in the spotlight and talk together about what's behind the drive to collect.

On Saturday, April 4th, 601Artspace will host "Bring Your Own Collection," an afternoon to share your collection with others. This event is in conjunction with our current exhibition, "AND," curated by Jennifer Dalton, that includes artworks consisting of accumulated, collected or created multiple parts. There will be collections of refreshments on hand as well.
