On May 4th, 2019, 601Artspace and HEKLER organized a unique multi-sensory experience to celebrate the last weekend of the exhibition, Without a Solitary Object of Vision.
In response to Samuelle Green and Amina Ahmed's artworks, this evening brought together storytelling, sound art, food, and drink. Artists Francis Estrada and Ramyar Vala combined finger foods inspired by the exhibition and projections of Estrada's artwork and created site specific installations/serving stations. Jack Warren performed original sound art composed for the evening. Storytelling and poetry readings were given by Sahar Romani and Amir Parsa.
This event was a collaboration between 601Artspace and HEKLER, a Brooklyn-based artist-run collaborative platform.
