601Artspace, 88 Eldridge Street, NYC

Please join us for Cuando la madre tierra canta  (When Mother Earth Sings), a new performance created for 601Artspace by Priscilla Dobler-Dzul, a featured artist in our current exhibition, In Absentia, curated by Eliana Blechman.

Dobler-Dzul will activate her ceramic vessels to explore the relationship of the body to land, labor, and ancestry. Using wildflower seeds native to the Northeast U.S., soil, and Aztec death whistles and masks made by the artist during a recent residency in Argentina, Dobler-Dzul will create a ritual of growth, thanks, and rebirth, producing seed bombs that will be offered to the audience to spread throughout the city.

Please arrive promptly at 6pm.
