Gunpops

Gunpops is a licky, sticky, drippy social practice project and performance. Evoking the ubiquitous “Italian Ice” carts found on New York City streets in the summer, the Gunpops cart will distribute free cherry-flavored popsicles in the shape of toy guns to passersby in front of 601Artspace. Just inside the gallery, a wall of blown glass sculptures from the artist’s “Crystal Ice Guns” series explore the frictions between reality and fantasy in the worlds of play and conflict.
