Las Hermanas Iglesias reponded to our theme of loss and empowerment by sharing an ongoing project.

“ Our Commiserates series began in 2012 with Lisa’s first pregnancy. The second and third set of images in the series were created during Lisa’s pregnancy in 2019 and after the loss of her baby. A year and a half later we’ve created the fourth set of photographs in the series, created during an overlap of our pregnancies in the winter of 2020. We would normally travel to stage these photographs in person, but because of the pandemic, we are necessarily maintaining distance. This past summer we created an open source Evolving & Incomplete RESOURCE LIST about Pregnancy & Infant Loss, Grieving & Mourning.” - Las Hermanas Iglesias
