Untitled, 2016, graphite and charcoal on paper, 70 x 50 cm, photo credit: António Jorge Silva

In this drawing we see the outcome of a lengthy relationship with the sheet of paper inside and outside, its front and back, through the repetition of the action of my own hands (and my entire body) over it, after it has been laid upon a table or bench on which certain amounts of charcoal and graphite dust had been previously strewn.

If we zoom in on the image of the drawing, it seems that we are not seeing an image of a drawing, but a scientific image from a microscope.
